I Am Me

I Am Me

Monday, February 14

I think I scare people away. People seem to act like they're afraid to get to know me, like I might bite their head off or something...I know I'm a liberal queer, and that scares some people, but I sort of expected that my other friends in life (who are just as liberally-minded and accepting of queerness) wouldn't blink, wouldn't flinch, wouldn't be afraid to leave a mark behind on my heart. I am malleable, willing to listen to others' (reasonably logical) opinions, if only people would be willing to offer them to me.

Don't be so silent; silence is the voice of complicity. And people, here's a hint into my psyche: you won't earn my respect/admiration by being complicit, or silent. It's like illegal drugs: JUST SAY NO!

I realize my recent blogs have been aggressive and scary and apparently I know how to "clear the web" of any voices willing to let me hear their thoughts. For silencing all the blog-followers of this website, I frankly, refuse to apologize. I refuse to be silent, I refuse to finesse and coerce and delude you into some happy world that doesn't really exist. This blog is my way of sharing with the world how I see it, and more specifically, what I see as being wrong with the world, or (sometimes) what's wholly right with the world.

Maybe my view of the world is so twisted and fucked up. But how will I know, if no one is willing to give me a little perspective?

Seriously, somebody say something before I feel it's necessary to go public and start publicly bloggin on Google or something. I mean, I know I'm out and all, but I'd like to get some reassurance from people I know first - before I step out into the world and suddenly get run over by a truck or something.

On interesting sidenote, I found another reason politicians should stop denouncing such things like homosexuality, calling it hedonism and such... It makes it more likely (somehow) that your kid will be queer, and then wouldn't THAT be a political quagmire that would suck for you?
(This comment is being sparked by the news that Alan Keyes' daughter just came out.
